Anyone care for a Whoopie Pie...?

Summer is in full swing and we have been enjoying our family vacation as well as our own little get away (picture's and stories to come) but in the meantime while school is out and work is all I have going BAKING has become a luxury that time hasn't permitted me to enjoy. I thought I would share what I made last night for Sunday dessert. WHOOPIE PIES! Okay so the name is a little odd and as I was placing them on the baking sheet both Kaden and Marc told me they looked more like cow pies, but this is really how they turned out! I didn't have my camera with me to take a picture after I made them but both Marc's family and mine can testify that this is what they truly looked like. They are super yummy and you can decorate them really cute! Great idea for either a bridal or baby shower or just for fun:)  I have a whole recipe book devoted to whoopie pies, there are hundreds of different kinds you can make(Last picture below). I attached some pictures just to show you how cute and fun you can make them.  Enjoy!

Coca~Cola

Me posing with midget bear (aka little bear)

Marc and I were lucky enough to score some JAZZ tickets from a family friend/neighbor. We were enjoying the first quarter of the game when someone came up and asked if either one of us wanted to participate in the first quarter bowling bear competition. Basically all we had to do was wear a coke shirt walk out onto the court (escorted by a jazz dancer) cheer on whatever bear we were representing and watch them get sling shot into a life size bunch of pins. Well I got assigned the Big bear and he won! We not only got hooked up with jazz tickets but now we have a years supply of coke products and an awesome coke duffle bag. SWEET!

SO MUCH SNOW!!!

I have been wanting to put these pictures up for about a month now... Needless to say unfortunately it's still not as warm as I would like outside BUT here are some fun memories from my very first MOON FAMILY BEARLAKE TRIP!! Keep in mind this was my first time on snowmobiles and second time using my snow clothes I received from Marc and his parents for Christmas. I was so grateful for WARM CLOTHES:) We had a pretty good storm come through while we were there and I was surprised by how absolutely gorgeous it was everywhere. I've never really been one to find beauty in the cold weather, I guess thats because of my typically bad attitude about anything under 75 degrees. I tried to capture a few of JUST the scenery so hopefully you can catch a glimpse of how amazing it was. ENJOY!

Hello World.

Well Hello everyone! When I say everyone I pretty much mean Ashlie (notice I spelled your name right) and my grandma. I am sure those are the only two people who know that this actually exist. Thank you to both of you for being my moral support as I have been exploring my blogger side. I promised I would share how I came up with the name of my blog. It's really quite cheesy but I'll share anyways, the phrase comes from this "I love you to the moon and back". It's something I hear quite ofter from most everyone I know... JK haha! Alright so the phrase really comes from Marc.. offcourse! He has quite a talent for comparing love to things you would really never relate to love (ie a black hole, supernova, the length of his arms). He never fails to remind me how much he loves me. I don't know how far away the moon is but it't got to be pretty dang far.

So Since this is my first blog I should be totally honest right?

  1. It took me fifteen minutes to figure out where and how to post this picture. That button is so darn small!
  2. I'm still confused as to how I get added to other people's blog.
  3. I am eating a huge bowl of ice cream right now. I mischievously  went and bought it AFTER I just finished working out, and I am planning on hiding it in our freezer under a large oversized bag of frozen vegetables so Marc won't find it.
  4. I used to think blogging was REALLY stupid.
